ANNOUNCEMENTS – MAY 4, 2008

-  Pastor Scott will preach at Temple of Praise during their Pastoral Sunday, today at 7:00 P.M.  The Adult Choir will sing.  Everyone is encouraged to attend. 

-  Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church will host their Annual Revival, May 5th – 7th at 7:30 P.M.  The speaker will be Pastor Bruce Roundtree of Morning Glory Baptist Church, Jesup.  Everyone is invited to attend.

-  St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church will host a Revival, May 7th – 9th at 7:30 P.M.  Baconton is invited to worship on Friday, May 9th; Baconton’s deacons are asked to assist with devotional service and offering.  Everyone is invited to attend.

-  Baconton’s Drama Ministry will present a skit entitled  “The Prodigal Daughter.”  If you are interested in being part of this drama, please come to rehearsal on May 10th at 12:30 P.M.  POC is Sis. Smith.

-  May 18th is Sunday School High Attendance.  Sunday School starts at 9:30 A.M.  We encourage you to come out and bring a few people with you.  There’s no school like Sunday School  -- We love Sunday School at Baconton!

-  St. Peter’s A.M.E. Church will celebrate their 148th Anniversary May 15th – 16th at 7:00 P.M.  Baconton is in charge of the Close-Out program Sunday, May 18th at 3:00 P.M.   Pastor Scott will preach, the deacons and ushers will serve, and the Youth Ministry Choir will sing.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.

-  Church Business Meeting will be May 20th at 7:00 P.M.  Baconton’s members are encouraged to attend.

-  Our 139th Church Anniversary Celebration is underway!  We will start with Revival Wednesday, May 21st – Friday, May 23rd at 7:30 P.M.  Our Guest Preacher is Rev. James Barnard.  We will close-out on Sunday,  May 25th at 4:00 P.M.

-  There will be a  “Community Cares Conference”  May 28th – 30th, from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., at Brewton Parker College, Hinesville.  Various speakers are on program each night.  Pastor Scott will speak on  “Charting A Course,”  May 29th.  Everyone is invited to attend.

   We need teachers for all age levels (adult – kindergarten).

-  June 17th – 19th – County-wide Music Workshop hosted by Baconton.

-  June 20th – 21st – Church-wide trip/Youth Department Summer trip to the Holy Land Experience/
